This week in PE

Hi All,

First week back to Gainsborough primary school and the children have started Fitness and Athletics for their PE lessons.

Children worked really hard working off all the chocolate and lovely food they ate over the holiday period. The some children challenged themselves by recording their scores for their mini circuit training they done for the fitness part of their lessons.

KEEP WORKING HARD AND STAY FIT!!!!

Summer Term 1 in PE

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday period.

This Summer term 1 in Gainsborough the children will be doing Athletics/Fitness.

During Fitness the children will learn more about their bodies as we will touch on components of fitness and go in depth with the older year groups.

During Athletics, they will learn techniques that can help them progress for themselves. They will also understand they can use determination and focus to improve their personal best.

PA Handball Years 3 and 4

Tuesday 26th March 2019

Gainsborough took part in the Primary Advantage Games held at Holy Trinity.

Congratulations on Holy Trinity winning the competition. St John and St James came second and our school came in third place.

Well done to our Year 3 and 4 children who demonstrated excellent sportsmanship.

PA Football

This term the PA Football league concluded with some great play.

All the teams put in their best work and showed some amazing goals. The game concluded with Gainsborough A winning the league with 25 points, Second: St. Matthias with 24 points and Third: SJSJ A with 23 points.

This means that Gainsborough better last years position as they came second last year.

WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!
