This year, the PA games started off with a Netball competition. Just a reminder, the PA games is different sports competitions that takes place over the academic year with the Primary Advantage schools.

We attended our first PA Games competition for this academic year, held here at Gainsborough on Tuesday.

Our children’s resilience and excellent teamwork skills paid off as we managed to come first against 4 other schools, holding on to our netball title in the Federation. Well done to the Netball Team!

Our Year 2 artists in Bullfinches class worked super hard yesterday with Ms Britton Field to learn all about a new artist to add to their repertoire ...ANDY WARHOL!

Year 2's Pop Art multiple work is now on display in the classroom. Come take a look and celebrate the beginning of term with us!

Seaside Art

Year One have been focusing on the fundamental of Collage this half term. After their exciting trip to the beach at Southend with sketchbooks in tow, they returned to school full of ideas and observational drawings from the beach.

These drawing ideas informed their work, we painting paper to recreate the textures we found at the seaside. Then we constructed beach huts from lollipop sticks to layer our work and create background and foreground. Amazing work Year 1, you should be very proud of all you have achieved in Art this year!
