QUADS KIDS ATHLETICS COMP !

KS2 QUADS-KIDS ATHLETICS 

Children from years 3,4,5,6. Were selected to take part in the Hackney Boroughs quads kids athletics competition which was held at Mile End running track. 

It was an extremely tough competition, which was made even more difficult due to the weather being blazing hot. 

Children were given specific competing numbers and were split in to colour and number orders. 

The events which children took part in were: 

• 75M / 100 Meter race. 
• 250M / 400 Meter race. 
• Standing long jump. 
• Vortex Howler throw. 

There were 18 schools who competed in total. The year 3/4 group of children, who for many had never been to a sporting competition, did really well and came in 5th place ! 

For the year 5 and 6 competition it was a lot more competitive as most of the children at the competition have been before and remembered one another from previous encounters. 

Doing what Gainsborough children do best our year 5s & 6s never let anything faze them and put in enormous amounts of effort and were rewarded for this. They managed to come in an impressive 3rd place !
